2020 was a rollercoaster of a year for all things tax, where do we see 2021 taking us, and with what changes?

I’m a Chartered Tax Advisor leading the bespoke tax consultancy service we provide to Fortus clients, Owner Managed Businesses and individuals, focusing on corporate restructuring, IHT, CGT, and SDLT.
Having initially trained as an accountant in practice, my interest in tax steered my path. Much of my career has since been spent working in specialist tax advisory firms advising other tax professionals and their clients, latterly as an owner manager. I work closely with our tax team, business contacts and clients to create and deliver tailored tax planning solutions for both their business and personal requirements.
Throughout my tenure, I’ve delivered comprehensive tax advice to a number of construction industry clients, across all disciplines, on a range of complex and interesting transactions.
I’m a keen DIYer, but when I’m not knocking down walls, I like to spend my time taking relaxing walks in the Yorkshire countryside with my wife and two dogs, or enduring many, not so relaxing, hours suffering on my bike racing or riding sportives in the UK and around Europe.
